I was influenced by my spanish heritage, my trip to Mexico, and The Day of the Dead/El Día de los Muertos. I knew I wanted to use spanish text so I incorporated images to go along. I was inspired by Goya’s Caprichos etching from 1799.
I wanted to personalize it and used a quote from Joss Whedon's Hush episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. These are the gentlemen that inspired my skeletons.
